So I feed Life’s Abundance dog food two times a day your puppy when it goes home will be fed early in the morning about 7 o’clock and usually about 7:00 in the evening. So I usually do about 1/4 to 1/4 and 1/4 cup so it’s getting about two to two and a half cups by the time. It goes home you can also look on the bag of the dog food on the side they have suggested daily amounts. So as your puppy grows it’ll suggest what to feed ok.

Adjusting Food Consistency

When your puppy is going home it most likely is gonna be on hard kibble but as their teeth are coming in I am softening the food. So I’m getting it when they’re first their teeth first start coming in I’m soaking the food. So it’s really really soft for them because they don’t have any teeth as they grow.

I’m making it harder and harder and I’m soaking it less and less so as they go home. I might be I might put some water on it maybe for about 5 minutes before you serve it but about a week or so. After you take your puppy home then you know they’ll be used to the home they’ll be used to things so you don’t have to do that anymore. They’ll just be beyond just regular kind of hard kibble. Ok,

Feeding Tips

So that’s food one thing I want to tell you about feeding your dog. I recommend feeding your dog twice a day and not free feeding. Pretty feeding is when you just set the bowl down and your dog food. Your dog goes and gets it at any time during the day and that’s what I call a grazer that does not build a good eater.

You want your dog to be a good eater. You want to be able to set it down and you want to be able to know that it ate that food one of the reasons why I read that is because if your dog gets sick.  Let’s say you go to the vet the first thing that they’re gonna ask you is if your dog is vomiting, diarrhea, or hot as it has eaten and you need to know if your dog is eating. I

f it’s a grazer and you know your wife or your husband could have fed the dog this morning and you wouldn’t have known and there were some in the dish and you don’t know if it was from last night. Or this morning you don’t know if your dog is eaten. It’s important to know if your dog is eaten if you do what I recommend which is to fill the dog food up and make your dog sit.

Do something before it eats lay the food down and if your dog walks away from it within 15 minutes or sniffs it and then walks away. I recommend pulling the dog food up. I recommend doing that and then reintroducing the dog at the next mealtime not an hour from now, not two hours from now it’ll be hungry by dinner time. If you do that in the morning you’ll be hungry and will probably eat that builds a good eater. You want a really good eater.

Picky Eaters

Picky eater is not fun know that if your dog is a picky eater change the dog food. Whatever it is you’re eating whether it’s type abundance or whatever is not always the answer. I always change dog food only when it’s there’s a real desire. There’s a medical reason to change let’s say I’m using this dog food here that has grain in it and maybe your dog has some itchy skin or something like that and there’s an actual reason. They might want to pull your dog off grain so that would be a real reason just because it throw up one time.

The first thing I do is not think up the dog food. I think maybe it got into something maybe it’s in a stressful situation or something like that so that’s my take on dog food. I don’t like a grazer I like you to feed the dog twice a day put the food down eat it and then if your dog does become picky one thing that I can that I do recommend or suggest is maybe some topping some cottage cheese on there just mixed in the top or something that maybe makes some chicken broth or brought that makes it a little bit more desirable anyway.

Transition to Adult Food
